On October 13th, 2012 Beta Omicron Kappa Psi
brothers at the University of Washington SOP participated in American Diabetes
Association: Step Out to Stop Diabetes Walk as one of the Rush Events this
quarter. Diabetes is a disease that
affects a significant percentage of people in the nation. Most people know at
least one or more close friends or relatives that suffers from diabetes. Beta
Omicron brothers actively raised money to donate for research that we hope will
one day stop diabetes. During this
event, Beta Omicron brothers were able to personally bond with students
considering in pledging while walking along the lakeside of Warren G. Magnuson
Park. It was a great pleasure and experience for brother to be involved in
promoting diabetes research and awareness.
